The websites:

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/serverstatus/

and

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...twork_status.vm

both offer different information on the servers.  The first link (available from the new eq2players website) said all servers were up - when they weren't.  The second link was available when Googling "eq2 server status" and listed the actual server status (aka- locked servers, down servers, etc...).

I've also noticed that websites that linked to the "old" eq2players website showed the old style of pages with different information and were obviously the older links to eq2player before it got revamped.

Greetings,

While most of the basic lead-ins to the old EQ2 players site have been removed, it looks like a few of the back-end pages are still there and functioning.  Regarding why the newer site had incorrect information I am unable to say.  I'm not involved with web developement so I don't have much information about that.  I assume it's probably manually updated unlike the old page, but that's just speculation on my part.  It's also possible that your browser was pulling up an cached version of the page when the actual page was showing the servers as down.  You may want to try clearing the cookies and browsing history from your browser.

yet another day where both:

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...twork_status.vm

and

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/serverstatus/

show conflicting information and the "old" status page shows the actual server status and the one linked from the current eq2players website shows incorrect information.

Cleared cookies and everything, Google "eq2 server status" and you get the actual server status - which appears on the old page.
