Having trouble with game. I just recently had to replace my video card because my old one died. Finally got the new one put in last night and logged in and things seemed to be fine. Granted I was only logged in for 15 or 20 min.

Then I go to log in today and things seem to be fine until I open internet explorer then I get:

EQ2 Client Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Then I can click on a button in the box that say click here for more information and it opens up another box that says:

Error signature

appname: everquest2.exe appver:1.0.0.1 modname: unknown

modver: 0.0.0.0 offset: 04f573e7

Then I can click on another button with in that box that says to view technical information click here: And it has a ton of crap listed that goes on forever.

What seems to be the problem???? Never use to have this problem before i loaded up this new video card.

Have the ATI 5850 on back order so I bought the Nvidia 9500 GT to hold me over until the 5850 gets here.

I run windows XP

Thanks for the help

What version of the Nvidia drivers are you using?  If you are not using the 186 version of the drivers already, then please do so.  The other recent versions have caused some problems with the game.  You can get the 186 series drivers through the following site:

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find...aspx?lang=en-usPlease let us know if the issue persists after trying that step.

Thanks I did revert back to the 186.18 driver and did not seem to have anymore problems but was only on about another 40 min or so.

I will test it further once i get home today just to make sure but after i updated the drivers I opened IE, ACT, in game voice, vent...and didn't have any trouble so seems like its fixed.

Thanks for the help

I assume the problem hasn't come back since you haven't made any further posts?  Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
