Ever since the last update made to the Launcher, it will NOT load.  It says it is running in the background under my processes but the application itself is missing.  I knew something was up when I launched it last night and it didnt find my eq2 installation which has never happened before.. so I repointed it to my installation folder and now it hasnt lanched ever since.

Did the compatibility tabs thing..to try to set it to Win Xp, but still nothing.   Something is [Removed for Content]'d from the latest update.

Go ahead and uninstall Station Launcher and SOE WebInstaller. Then try to reinstall, and re-select your installation folder.

I did, wont relaunch the application at all.   I already uninstalled everything and tried to reinstall.   It says the process is running but the application wont display... infact if i try clicking it again I get a error pop up that just says it has encountered an error and needs to be shut down but the process continues to run in the background.

There is something wrong with the servers - especially the login servers seem to be affected. Reinstalling wont help anything. Have a look at the 2-3 first topics on this forum.

This post was from days ago when it was clientside not serverside. Today it's serverside.

Greetings,

If you are still experiencing this issue then please remove the check from the 'run this program in compatibility mode for' box.  The new version of the station launcher can crash if it is configured in that way with Vista/win7

Wasnt that either, infact I noticed a Java error occuring at the same time as the crash of Station Launcher.  So I did a full resintall and update of java.   Now everything works perfectly.

Guys might want to pass that along to anyone else experiencing crashes on load with Launcher.

Thank you for the info.  There were also some login server issues on the day this was reported so that might be part of the problem.

Besides that, I have received a few reports that the launcher is crashing if set to compatibility mode for XP SP2.  That could have been part of the issue as well.
