OMG its always something else... Game freeze before character select

so after 3 days of troubleshooting station launcher, I FINALLY get it to patch the game all the way through

(before the patcher was fixxed I was able to log into eq2 by simply clicking the everquest2.exe file and play just fine)

So now that my patcher is fixed, I patch the game, it says 100% ready and asks me if I want to launch the game. I click launch. My game window pops up, I get to the first screen that says SOE, then EVERQUEST II and then the game completely freezes before I get to character select.

I have done everything to open ports, removed UAC, all anti virus stuff, set permissions, I cant think of anything I missed. And on top of all that I was able to play just fine by using the bypass I mentioned above. So now that I got the game patched, why is this error occuring now all of a sudden?

Any tips?
