![]() I like binding buttons to my mouse: I find it easier to press said buttons on my mouse. But doing this in EQ2 I run into a really weird problem. When I have both mouse button 4 and mouse button 5 bound to a hotbar, pressing one will sometimes activate the other. Specifically if I click a mouse button faster than about once per second, it'll alternate back and forth between actually being the correct mouse button, and instead being the other. This issue persists even if I log out and then log back in. Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, what can I do to fix it? |

![]() Greetings, What kind of mouse is it? Can you try binding the mouse buttons to another key on the keyboard? I use a Razor Diamondback myself and I find that I get better results setting mouse buttons 4 and 5 to the 'O' and 'P' keys, respectively.

![]() Same here. Mouse button 5, acticates 4. Mouse button 5 is not bound to a single thing. I use an alienware TactX mouse. Edit: It works fine, But if I press either buttons in quick succession, then they trigger one another in an order of Mb4 to M5. |

Have you tried changing those buttons to keybinds instead in the mouse software as suggested above, and if so does this resolve the issue?

And duplicated on a Logitech G700, and a Logitech Performance MX. It really looks like the game is responding to a DoubleClick of MB4 as MB5, and a DoubleClick of MB5 as MB4. |

![]() I'd still like to know whether or not changing those functions to mimic key presses rather than mouse functions works, if you could let us know

Yes. I changed MB4 and MB5 to send O and P, and mapped O and P to the two hotbar slots in question. Rapid pressing of each MB resulted in the correct hotbar slot being pressed. It's a functional workaround. Would rather not have to do it though, as it should be an unnecessary workaround. Also, if someone's in there fixing it, might want to include support for MB6 and up. I can use generic MB's 1-5, but the game stops detecting at 5, won't see 6 through 9 at all. (Yes, I could map them all to odd key combinations, but as I said, it should be an unnecessary workaround). |
