The new station launcher doesn't seem to be working.  It seemed to work fine until I installed a security patch downloaded from microsoft in the background.  After patching it doesn't do much.  It loads 2 processes but doesn't load the window to let me log in or select a game.  It pretty much haults after loading the 2 processes.  Here is the log generated in the station launcher's home directory.

2009-06-25 17:33:59 [4832] INFO  main - Bootstrapper version = main-789005 2009-06-25 17:33:59 [4832] INFO  main - Started with args =  2009-06-25 17:33:59 [4832] ERROR Bootstrapper - Other instances running - I will now exit.

I have had to revert to using the original EQ2 launcher in order to get into the game.

Just to be clear, the two processes that launch and then run in the background are:

VivoxVoiceService.exe *32

StationLauncher.exe *32

The only thing I can think of that changed between when it worked and when it didn't was the installation of a security patch from Microsoft.

I have tried using the installer for the program to repair the launcher.  I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program yet.

My system spec's include:

Core i7 920 processor

6GB RAM

500 GB SATA Hard Drive

eVGA G'Force 8800GTX

Soundblaster X-Fi Fata1ity sound card

Windows Vista Ultimate x64

http://forums.station.sony.com/stat...n/forums/list.m

Apparently there was some minor revision to the Station Launcher, and because I wasn't running it in Compatibility Mode with Admin privledges preset on the shortcut it wouldn't download the latest build # patch.  Once I made the changes for my own curiosity, it opened an IE browser window and downloaded the latest build.  After that everything started working again.

Great, I'm glad that is working for you now.  If you experience this kind of problem in the future then I would advise resetting your computer/modem/router, and then running as administrator.  Considering you already switched to compatibility mode, those steps should fix any basic patching issue.
