![]() I will just be running around and all of a sudden my char will just start spinning. Logging out and back in doesn't fix it, I can even come back in as another char and that char will be spinning also. Only way to fix it I have found is to completely shut down the game and restart it. |

![]() Greetings, I have seen this get reported several times but it's always different hardware and it's always corrected with a different method. The standard work-arounds I've heard are to switch between windowed and fullscreen or hit the Windows button. Those fixes seem to revolve around changing your computer's focus. You might want to try updating your mouse/keyboard drivers too, assuming there are updates available. If the problem persists then you might want to try methodically disconnecting devices while experiencing the problem. The one you disconnect that stops the spinning is the culprit. Please let us know if you have any questions.

![]() i am experiencing the same problem. Within 30 seconds of using my keyboard, my toon would start spinning out of control. This started after the last patch. Nothing else has changed on my computer. Even if I shutdown and restart it, it's only a matter of time before it starts again. Full screen/windowed has no effect. Neither did updating mouse and keyboard drivers. I tried updating my graphics card driver too. What did you do my computer, SOE? |

![]() Greetings, Assuming you're running XP, you can give this a try (see below). Please note that I don'thave the issue you describe so I can't say for sure if this will help.Turn off or slow down repeated keystrokes 1) Click Start > Run > type: access.cpl > press enter2) On the Keyboard tab, click the "Settings" button under "FilterKeys"3) Do one of the following: 3a) Select "Ignore repeated keystrokes"3b) Select "Ignore quick keystrokes and slow down the repeat rate" * Both of these have options where you can fiddle with the repeat rate or you can leave it at default and see if it helps |

![]() Oh, please tell me there's a way I can do this in Vista! This happens to me at the most inopportune times, such as while I'm on a precipitous ledge.

![]() Thanks Wasted. I also went to Control Panel>Keyboard and made sure the repeat rates were zeroed out. I'll see if this works. (shouldn't have to do this to begin with |

![]() You might want to try reinstalling directx 9.0c as well. I have heard some suggestions that this issue could by caused by a corrupt DX install throwing bad keystrokes to the game. That would make sense since it usually doesn't show the same problem if you open up something like a text editor.

The accessibility options for Vista were moved to a utility called "Ease of Access Center"which can be accessed as such: 1) Press the Windows logo key + U You can find details on using the Ease of Access Center here:http://www.microsoft.com/enable/tra...svista/eoa.aspx Specific information for the FilterKeys I was discussing can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/enable/tra...filterkeys.aspx Please keep in mind I don't use Vista so my support will be rather limited. Hope this gets you pointedin the right direction though. |

Yes, this may indeed help. I found that some of the DirectX installers that were available from Microsoft inthe past included "Final Debug" versions of some of the DLL files which aren't necessarily bad however theyare bloated (ie: slower) due to debug code.DxDiag should report "Final Retail" for all your drivers unless you're playing on a development machine withdebug versions of the DirectX SDK installed. Also, even if you have all "Final Retail", it is possible that dinput.dll or dinput8.dll have somehow become corruptand may be misbehaving. |

What did you do to correct the issue? Several fixes have been suggested since your last post and I'm not sure which one you used. Knowing what corrected the issue for you will help me assist others in the future. Thanks
