Exactly how does attack speed work?  And how much benefit do we get by increasing it?

I have points in both Acceleration Strike (the attack/casting/recovery speed proc) and Slayer's Speed (the attack speed boost).  I don't parse but just playing my toon I can't see a noticeable difference in my weapon swings when Acceleration Strike procs.  The casting/recovery speed is noticeable though.  It's making me think I'd be better served by putting points into Seasoned Verteran (the DPS boost) or something.

hit "p" and watch your primary weapon speed delay, unless you are going over 200 haste(doubtful when solo) then you still have room to go.

now if you are using some rediculously fast weapon like a 1.2 delay, then it won't take you much to hit the .7 second speed delay cap which the weapons have built in so it would only take you about 100 haste to cap your weapon speed.

200 haste translates to your weapon swinging 125% faster than its base speed delay and is the current cap you can get to or .7 seconds on the weapon, whichever comes first.

the dps gain from wisdom is complete garbage and the end ability still wont allow you to tank in defensive effectively to warrant any points in that line at all.

Also if you are not timing your combat arts to cast between your auto attacks you probably wont see much change from extra haste. Can't attack if you're spamming your CA's.
