I have a Dell Inspiron I baught last year and have been getting the itch to play an MMO again but have never played EQ2.

Will a Q6600 2.4 Ghz cpu, Nvidia 8600 GT 256mb vicard, 4GB 800mhz DDR2 RAM, and Vista 32bit....will this run EQ2 decent?

I have been warned that EQ2 is a resource hog and needs a very beefy computer to run well....and I usualy get "budget" computers.

Thanks for any help.

That computer should be able to run the game without any trouble.  Everyone has a different preference when it comes to frame rate vs quality, but I imagine you'll be able to run at balanced settings with about 20-40 fps in most situations.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I've never been one that needs all the bells and whistles turn up all the way, but a bell here and a whistle there is nice. I usually aim to have moderate settings on(but not low) and hope for at least 30fps....anything above that is extra and would be nice, but not a make or break deal.

I'll look forward to getting the latest X-pac Bundle as I think that is a great way to encourage new players to join and makes it easy to catch up on all the stuff that's happened since launch. $40 for the entire thing is a nice deal considering how much content that has been released.

I'll grab it next month sometime and join in on the fun...thanks for the reply!

If you want a free run speed cloak 25%, let me know your email address and I will refer you.  You'll get all the expansions except TSO for the subscription only and you can purchase the expansion later and upgrade if you wish!
