I have the latest drivers etc, and for some reason I am still getting the system to completely lock-up randomly.  There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either.  I can be at the broker in the guild hall, in a TSO instance, or running through a newb zone on an alt.  My dxdiag and msinfo are too large to post directly so I will link to them:

I reinstalled DirectX and am playing the game with a selective start-up with nothing in start-up and almost nothing in services that isnt a MacroShaft service, any ideas?

Greetings,

Taking a basic looks at your information, it's strange that your MSinfo seems to be in several different languages.   Besides the English, significant portions are in Chinese(?) with some German/Spanish in there as well.  This seems strange since your system language is set to English.  Does that mean anything to you?

If you're using any of the EAX options in-game, switch it to Miles or Dolby.

I'd wager that since the Realtek audio drivers support EAX (I see you also have an Audigy driver but itsnot set to default) that this may be your problem. Do a Google search for Realtek + EAX and you'll seethey have some issues (don't worry, the SB Audigy itself has EAX issues with EQ2 also).

Unfortunately I have an Audigy X-Fi and also can't use EAX. This problem has persisted for several yearsaccording to the sticky. Its unfortunate since it provides superior sound than software based drivers.

TSR-DanielH : I am not sure what is up with the languages thing

WastedChances : I run two sound cards, the audigy I use just for running Ventrilo.  RealTec i use to run the games on, and I will have to check the EAX setting; I cant imagine I put it on, I never use it (as a general rule) because of the issues it seems to invite.
