Ping has been spiking like crazy past couple days

The past couple days I have been getting huge ping jumps frequently. The game goes from the normal 100-200 all the way past 1500. Friends in the group reported they were getting the same thing at the same time. So ive been wondering if there is a back problem with AB recently.

Or it could be my internet, but I dont think several people lag at the exact same time if it's just me.

Has this been happening to you consistently or does it only happen for a limited amount of time before clearing up? While it could be a server issue, I have not received an increase in contacts regarding server lag. Are you using a router with your current internet connection? If so, have you tried bypassing by plugging your computer directly into the modem?
