![]() I have been able to play EQ2 on my corporate laptop for a long time, even been able to attend raids. As recently as January I was able to play without any issues. However, some time since then, I have been having a problem where the game just freezes, then the video driver crashes. Only a reboot of the system brings it back. It doesn't occur with any particular kind of activity. I can be fighting, just moving, crafting, etc. No eq2 crash logs, as it is the whole system that is going. In regards to the video drivers, it is an IBM Thinkpad T43p. Standard ATI/AMD drivers will not install. I get a message insisting that I use the ones from the laptop manufacturer. Lenovo's video drivers were last updated in 2007. I have the latest drivers, and have tried the previous version as well.

![]() Greetings, If you've tried several different driver versions then it's possible that you've got some driver residue mess causing problems. You might want to try running a driver cleaner program and reinstalling with the most recent version. I would also suggest making sure that all of the fans and vents are clear of dust/debris. Operating the laptop on a flat surface that wont block the airways is important as well. If this started recently then it could be caused by heat buildup in the system.
