similar to this

When I start EQ2.exe, I type in my login and password, and it says "Login Rejected. Client version does not match the server, run the patcher" yadda yadda as does the problem in the thread I posted...

When I start the Station Launcher it give me a pop-up reading:

An update to Station Launcher has been detected. Station Launcher will update itself the next time it starts. Click 'Restart Station Launcher' to patch now.

Closes down Station Launcher, and opens Station LaunchPad, which does all of nothing other than consistently tell me "Could not connect to the Chat Server.  The Server may be unavailable at this time." ...irrelevent, considering that isn't what downloads the patch...

I have both the Launcher and EQ2 set for XP ServicePack 2 compatability mode, and run as administrator.

So far, two days of paid subscription time gone down the toilet, and if I have to reinstall, it's going to be 5... Somebody help me out here?

What are you using to launch the game exactly?  Perhaps something here can help you out....

can not login

Also, pulled from the TSR...

Running Vista?  If so, then follow these instructions:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Good luck!

There is a thread over on the station launcher forums on this,  I beleive the fix is posted over there also

Yes, I did read that....   However, there have been cases where people missed a step or something to caise it not to work.  I thought that I would reference it once just in case...
