Gear location stats?

I have searched this forum and several other sites for information. I just cannot find any information. I am looking for suggestions on stats per gear per slot. Such as for ears should I look for INT or STR, same for rings, wrist, etc. Also would you look for stats or mit on main armor pieces or try to find the balance between the 2?

If someone could point to a guide or a post that has already suggested this, would be greatly appreciated. Could have sworn I seen this information somewhere before, but cannot find it. Thanks!
