Everytime I tried load the patcher or station launcher it takes an age to say preparing files and then doesn't get past saying connecting.  This has only started happening since yesterday - its been fine for well over a year on this PC before hand.  I've not installed anything new in that time either.

I can get into game fine via the exe file, but I can't start the updater.  I've run a trace on patch.station.sony.com which I pasted below - any ideas?

/bump I've tried everything in all the threads, but its still not working. With the next guarenteed patch on tueday, would be nice to fix this before I'm not running the same game version as the server

I've worked out its a problem with my hardwired router connection.  When I go wireless on my laptop its fine or when I plug the modem straight into the desktop its fine.  I'd like to not have to plug my modem straight into the desktop each time I want to patch - so any ideas what it could be/what I could check on my router?

What router do you have? A lot of the newer ones have built in firewalls that need to be configured.

You may need to set up port forwarding.  You can find a walkthrough on how to do so at the following website:

http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htm

Simply select the router that you use and then select Everquest 2 on the next page.  It will show you instructions on how to set up your router.
