Ok.. maybe im missing something.... But it sure seems as Repent isnt working right.

the spell says it wards against 3k vs. all damage. with 1 trigger....

When i throw this spell on the Tank.. it does nothing.. im not seeing a heal amount.. and it never drops untill its 30 second timer runs out..... Someone please explain the functionality of this spell... Please

It works fine.

it's a ward (mostly) so the little numbers don't come up as bright green but rather dark green (harder to see).      It will do a "heal" for the exact same amount it warded but only as the tank is damaged.

For example... your tank has 8000 hp of a total 10000hp.   You put on repent for 3000.    Tank gets hit for 500...    500 damage is warded and 500 is healed so he'll be at 8500.   next hit is for 2000... tank will be warded for 2000 and healed for 1500 (putting him at 10000/10000hp).

If the timer is running out that means the tank didn't need all the warding before the 30s was up.

The one trigger is misleaded.   If you put on a 3000hp repent it is capable of warding 300 10hp hits or one big 3000 hit.    It does not regenerate like some other wards in the game.

I think that most UI's and even the default UI will show you how many HP of the ward have been used while it's up.   It will show this in the maintained spells window.

Just to add a pinch if I may; for the heal stack we have:Wards (first) | Reactives (second)| Regenerations (third)Looking purely are Wards we have to keep FIFO in mind (first in first out). This means that if a Shaman drops a ward on a tank and you drop repent after, the shaman ward will be eaten up first, after, your ward. If any damage breaks though all current wards and there is still damage left over, then reactives are triggered (say 1 charge each); If the damage was big enough to get though all of that, then regens kick in if their are currently running.Near most of the time Repent is cast when the tank is still at full life, this is a good tactic as it can help with incoming spike damage. On the other hand it is not using the spell to it's fullest potential due to it's healing component. I like to think of it as an emergency spell, tank drops to around 50% health, pop it on then start getting all reactives back up; if another attack dose come in, the tank is warded and healed for the same amount in-which the ward absorbed.

I use Repent as an emergency heal.  The ward is just a byproduct of that.  And if I remember correctly it has a 30 reuse timer and a fast cast which is very beneficial as an emergency heal

I use Repent based on what we are fighting....

If we are doing trash, I may rarely cast this spell. Maybe if the tank gets a large group or when adds happen. So, in that case, it's more of an emergency spell for me. Reactives are usually enough in this scenario.

In the case where trash are all heroic or epic (raid zones usually) I will use this spell once the tank has taken some damage. I tend to wait till the bar is at 50%, but this varies if I see large burst damage happening.

On tough named and boss mobs I'm popping Repent every time it's available. Period. I don't even risk guessing when a good time would be.

EDIT: BTW, (for the OP) this spell is working fine for me.
