One place for all your Station games...fast, simple, and ready to go any time!

Station Launcher is a simple, one-click application that securely delivers all of your Station games, friends and community news right to your desktop. Manage your Station gaming library like never before; it's fast, easy and secure.

With the Station Friends feature on Station Launcher, you'll be able to see whether your friends are online, what Station game they're playing, and if they're playing the character you've made friends with (if permitted by your friend's privacy preferences).

Your friends will display on the Launcher as the character you made friends with in-game. Double click their name to begin chatting with them, even if they're not playing that character right now!

Yeah but Bugs which have been reported for more than 2 month are still not fixed ... it still looses your stationname and password over and over again and Scanning for UPdates gets stuck very often. So unless you're prepared for Alpha Testing you should wait until they fix at least some of the more serious bugs.Best regardsPijotre Kajek

Although, I agree that the launcher still needs a bit of work; I enjoy it very much and have used it exclusively since the beta became available.

Reading the users guide, I'm still not sure how it would work with more than one account on the same computer.

Once you have started the desired game you can just click logout in the upper right corner and then login with a different stationname and password ... your original game will still be running under the account you started the game with. Its really nice (or at least was until the patch that broke the statinname and password saving). And yes I agree with Spyder it is a nice app, but its just so frustrating to see them taking several kerran ages to fix an issue that worked before.

There is a work around posted on the station launcher forum, but it does not work for everyone. As far as complaining about bugs in BETA.... well it is BETA.

Nah.. not quite yet. SMILEYStill has some post-patch/GU issues to work out. But, otherwise, its worked flawlessly for me. And, I really like that I can chat with people on my friends list, even if they aren't on the same server, outside of game as long as launcher is started. SMILEY

which is why it needs to stay in BETA and not be let loose as you stated in an earlier post.As for how long it's taking, I think it is do in part to the fact that this really is not a money making thing for SoE, so they most likely are did not higher new people to develop it. This means that they have to use existing resources to work on it. My guess is those resources come form the Platform Publishing group, which is basically the "back stage" crew that makes all the games work, but who's work is only noticed when it is not their. Stuff like the chat and e-mail servers... those types of things. Being that they have to keep everything up and running while putting the launch pad together it makes sense that it would take a long time. Just like it takes much longer to remodel a hotel while keeping it mostly occupied then it does to shut everything down and do it in one shot.

There comes a time for any app, game or otherwise when and i'm using a qoute from Smed here "its just got to come out" SMILEY<img src=" /> and the fact that its been in beta for so long now makes me wonder if it'll ever come out of that stage and morph into a very useful app for us all to use.Because as i've said at this present time it serves me little to no use at all in its bugged state and that is a crying shame.

I am not sure what bugs other then losing your user name and Password every time you restart your computer, your talking about, but it works just fine for me(again other then the bug above). Also, I just now tried logging into the UK server via(using the procedure I posted above) the launchpad and got to the UK character select screen without a problem. Did this before logging into the games panel, then at the games panel I switched back to the US servers and logged back into character select and got the US screen, so EU players(at least the UK ones) can us the launchpad to get to their servers.

Or if you keep using it, you can help collect data and get any remaining bugs taken care off more efficiently. SMILEYRemember.. its not yet a "replacement" for the existing launcher. When it begins to act up, such as after a new patch or game update, you can always launch the standard launcher instead. Like the test servers though, only a handful of people are actually using it for testing purposes and reporting back any issues. Which, in my opinion, is the reason that development is taking so long.

I would post bugs I come across with it... if I found any(other then the known reset bug), so far it's worked very well for me, better in fact then the standard launcher. I also play multiple SoE games, so maybe that is why my experiance is so good.

I've been using this since it launched and love it to patch my favorite SOE games!  My only complaint, is that I wish there was more detail with the scanning/update progress; it really seems to go slower then the normal patcher. And when the Vivox system is on all servers, it'd be nice to have that integrated as well to be able to chat quickly without having to load up the game.
