changing RAM usage from 2g to 3g

I am running Vista 32 and hope changing the EQ memory usage to use 3 gig vs 2 will help some of the performance issues I've had (low FPS, lock ups, and poor performance) but I can't find anywhere here on how to go about that change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean you are installing more memory into your PC?As far as I am aware of there is no way to specify how much memory a particular program uses.

may as well put in 4GB and the system will use 3.4 GB and you will then be able to have an even number of memory sticks for the dual-channel configuration .
