3870X2 , cannot make antialiasing to work.

Hello I am the owner of an ATI 3870X2 (Catalyst drivers 8.6). I've been trying to enable antialiasing in eq2 since I bought this card to no avail.I used the Catalyst control panel to pick an Antialiasing method, I tweaked the eq2.ini file but nothing.Antialiasing just seems not to work when I run eq2.Also, another small issue I have is that the intro does not seem to render and I face a black screen whenever I try to watch it, the only workaround I've found is that it displays properly in windowed mode, but not in full screen mode.Any thoughts and suggestions please?
