ok, cast possessed essence, and somebody pointed out that the pet had insidious visions, a buff from my robe, on it.  Now this is interesting, since the buff says its for the illusionist pet, and i'm a coercer.  I checked, and it is doing the same thing with charmed pets also.Since my pet isn't an illusionist pet, I dont think my robe should be casting this buff on it.

That gives you a hint where the code for Possess Essence came from.  It is just an illusionist pet made to look like whatever mob you targetted.

So you would rather they rewrite code, which is untested, when they have tested code already around? That is asinine. They could always give you back the useless possession coercers had before, my guess on the robe is that its effect will be changed to say something about affecting any pet under the chanters possession /shrug

I would prefer that they code something original, which then goes to Test to be tested, hence not 'untested'.  That is what the Test servers are for, afterall.

also, i tried it later on live, and its doing the same thing to charmed pets there also.  Its casting the insidious visions buff on them also.  I think the robe may just be broken to cast the buff on whatever pets the wearer has, regardless of whether the wearer is a coercer or illusionist.
