Windows, windows ... everywhere!

Windows:

Hang them like a picture...on any wall you choose.

Create different scenes in different windows. Similar to looking in a mirror...except the window looks out onto an ocean, mountain, fountain, flowers...etc.

Doors:

Hang like a picture...on any wall you choose. A door (a piece of code) should not care where it resides and should be executable from any area within the house.

Create different doors, double doors, single doors, windowed doors, wrought iron doors, etc.

Our current houses are claustrophobic. Every house or apartment needs an outdoor garden or space that shows the horizon and sky.

If you feel claustraphobic, you should move into a Qeynos 5 room.... or a Qeynos 3 room. At least that one has open sky.

The Tim Deep houses got on the right direction. You can actually see Tim Deep from outside, even if that itself is just part of the artwork of the room, but I don't think that making windows as a furniture item would be a good idea.

Thank you kindly for your response, but I do have a mansion...one in Freeport and one in Qeynos. I also have a three room house and many one room houses...I have each house that is offered...I have many alts.

I'm all for options and choices. I believe that most players would find that this option would be a (very) enjoyable enhancement to housing.

I would enjoy seeing more houses with better windows. Personally, I think that huge building in South Qeynos that used to be the Brawler Dojo before they changed it so you started as your class right off the bat, would make a good location for a house larger than 5 rooms.

Purchasable windows may have some problems if the windows themselves had geometry behind the walls. It would have to be the window pane (non transparent) is further in, but ledging around it should probably protrude more to give the illusion the window is inset. At least doors are easy, you cant see thru them. If they had curtains in the game I"d suggest that as a illusion work around but we dont even have those. I mean like big heavy drapes that look like they should be in front of a window.

I like the idea!

Oooooh I want windows that I can look out of. That would be cool. Since rooms are mini instances I don't see why you couldn't have windows you could look out and see a representation of the zone.I don't like any of the houses/apartments though.

I'd settle for drapes. Make it look like there was a window where there really is none. But thats settling. I want a window I can see out of dammit!

Gorowin appartments , houses and mansion display by the window a view of the shore and the ocean. It's not the fact about Neriak, Freeport, Qeynos, MajDull and other zone where there is some windows. No view ont the street or place. It's... a little sadness again.
