No end to these problems.

So i bought eq2 tonight because i was bored with every other mmo and this was the only one i hadnt tried. I activated the game and went through all the steps to create my account etc etc...when i run the game, the update and file verification completes, but no option to launch the game or create a character is available. i have tried the admin fix in the properties since i am running vista. i disabled windows firewall and my anti-virus program, but still no love. i figured maybe if i got the station launcher it would be a little easier. i finally got it installed correctly, but when i run it i get an error message stating "failure starting launchpad core 144". i would really like to play.....tonight. this is becoming an irritation. someone please help.on second thought. please delete this post, i will contact billing about getting my money back for this giant waste of time.

Did you do the vista compat and admin for the new station launcher as well?
