Hi

I'm having issues zoning - characters will play fine and then at some point when I zone (doesn't matter where - happens in old and new world zones) the screen will hang on either: "receiving zone info", "waiting for entities" or "loading ui resources"

At that point I can no longer zone in the character and have to get a GM to warp it back to home city, where it then plays fine again until at some point it freezes again when I zone at some point. I can still load in my other toons fine.

What I've done so far:

Running default UI

Opened ports 1023 - 65565 on my router

Firewall allows all eq2 apps

Checked with ISP and no ports blocked

Deleted cache, login cache, all character configs, the .ini's and the everquest2.exe

My systems (once a character is stuck I cannot load it in on either of my pcs) are both running vista 32 bit (both are running eq2 in the 'xp compatability and running as administrator) and are high spec machines, less than 6 months old.

I'm on an 8meg dsl broadband connection.

It's been happening since early december.

HELP!

Oh and something else - I can't open the Knowledge base from internet explorer (tho I can when I access it in game via /petition) - not sure if that might be related... I'm in the Uk using a netgear DG834PN wireless router (and this problem exists when using an ethernet cable directly from the router to the PC) PC is a 2.40ghz, 4gig ram

Have you tried connecting with out the router entirely?  Lets give that a shot, see if the router is the issue or if it's the connection in general.
