For those who Despise Anime and Manga, they need to do Novels too.If EQ2 wants to stay competitive they need to invest in an official Manga, Ragnarök Online has both an Anime and Manga and even WoW had a Manga, this kind of leaves Everquest out in the cold. After all the land of Norrath is Rife with Lore and History that needs to be found and remembered. It would also give us more characters to identify with and expand some of the others. I do remember two comics that they did on EQ1 Didn't like the Fionna one (Too Iconic) but loved the Dark Elf's Journey.Discuss:

I've never been one to pick up a book based on a games or even serialized follow-ups to movies. (ie. Star Trek, MTG, WoW, etc). It always struck me as a marketing ploy. That and it usually seems to be aimed at a *ahem* younger demographic.  One notable exception would be D&D based stuff, but then I was exposed to the books long before I ever touched a AD&D tabletop or video games.

Like it or not marketing is what makes the product sell. Lack of Marketing Killed White Wolf's Trinity Universe.
