+2crit, +26 haste or +30 to combat arts

Which would be better the + 2 melee crits, + 26 haste, or +30 to all combat art damage if you could only choose one?

Actually I just changed my cloaks from +2crit +heal proc, to the Haste cloak and find I am doing more dmg.

In general +26% haste will boost dps more than +2% crit.

The haste will essentially give you a bonus melee attack every 4 swings. That's way more benefit than 1 in 50 attacks critting.

Thing is, regular haste items don't stack, so you may have another haste item already, and thus the crit may be worth more to you.

Also haste is soft capped at 100%, so you may be close to the cap in some groups/raids. Monks self-haste close to 100%, so it's different for them.

THe mastercrafted haste cloak is really nice with the +26 haste. Cloak of flames(heritage quest) gives +25. The Mistamoore cloak which is still one of the best cloaks has +30 haste and +2 crit. I personally wear the cloak of flames though.

The Misty Cloak sounds nice! I use the MC one with +26 haste....it is called Clandestine Cloak....or something like that.

It's funny, last night, I finished up the quest in Kunzar for faction with the Outer Syblis, and one of the quests to do that rewarded a Legendary cloak that gave a +2 Crit. I immmediatly rememebred this thread and decided to keep my MC....sold the LEg.

What I am wondering is, I amy use a new weapon that gives a nice haste....will it stack with the cloak? I seem to get conflicting reports on this.

Edit....just looked up the Mistamoore cloak....fabled 70. But the Crit is for a spell, not melee. So that = not so good to me.

if you check it out the mistamoore's cloak gives 30 haste, +2 Crit for melee/heal/spell. not just to spell crits. look at your attack speed mod in your persona and play with your haste items, that'll tell you if they're stacking or not.

Yea, last night I added an item that had haste...which I knew may not stack...it wasn't the main reason I bought it, and it didn't. BUt the Haste of 25 will alllow me replace my MC claok if something comes up without losing haste. My Haste is like 35 right now.
