I have not grouped (more then 3ppl) in RoK because I have heard that for a tank the instances really need you to be at least 80. I am now on the verge of hitting 80 and I was wondering if there were any tips that you would like to share about tanking groups in RoK and coping with the spike dammage that seemingly is the biggest issue in RoK (mobs hitting like sumos on PCP).

Maximum heal potential from Reaver, 4400+ Mitigation, 40%+ Avoidance, and 8500+ HP self-buffed. You should be fine.

![]() Most people have overreacted about the difficulty of RoK. When I killed Xalgoz the first time our tank was only 72 and our 2 healers were 71 and 72. Additionally we had no mezzer or even power regen. It wasn't easy, but we did get it done. That doesn't really matter now that you're 80 though. You should be fine tanking in RoK if you are able to pull well, and hold aggro. I tanked Korocust as an 80 brigand (in offensive stance and without a shield) so I'd think an actual tank would be able to manage it. Bloodletter is awesome for managing spike damage. |

Yeah, all mobs in RoK hit like over zealous PCP addicts and the only way I found that can compensate for it is to make your HP larger, even in lieu of Int. The more I hang out in RoK, I'm finding I'm dropping my Int for more Sta. Everyone is feeling the pain on these kinds of mobs, especially heroics and I don't even want to know how hard epics hit. Personally, I've been trading Int for mitigation and sta since I seem to hardly ever get a group to be a DPSer. I'm either seen as a tank or nothing at all. Sucks really since there are classes better suited to be that kind of tank out there so when I get a tell asking me to MT for a group in whatever RoK instance, I know they must be swallowing their pride or really hurting for someone to sit there and take the hits.

Iv never taken well to being told what i can and cant do as a SK. I was tanking RoK zones at 72 starting with Kornars castle(before nerfing the zone) and CoA at 74(ya the last mob hurt the first 2 times in there)
