Ok, so I am about to start T8 raiding again, as soon as I receive my new laptop. meanwhile I am tinkering on a tanking(MT/OT) Paladin. This is the way, my priorities are set:avoidance+block: atm I am @ 67.4% solo avoidance, without the shield adornment and having upgraded the lucanic gladius to lvl 70(2% avoid instead of 3%), so that leaves at least 0.8% to go...plus I wasn't able to get my hands on the woushi scale wrist item with 30 agi and 5 def and some other fluff(also lvl 70, so 3%parry), so theoretically it would be easy to get 70% solo avoidance.(most of it with %-items, so don't care bout dimnishing returns) oh, and round about 53% mitigationhp:imho my second weakest point:only 11.2k solo w/ food and drink. I am aiming towards 12k solo, but that would result in a massive  loss of avoidance, even with  t8 raid items. only thing I that comes to my mind, is upgrading the gladius(+~90hp) and the wuoshi band(+90hp). haven't seen any boots except the bloodied chitin ones from KC with agi and def on'em, but they're lacking hps.damage:my weak spot, I don't have any aggro-issues due to amends(only if some zerker means to go nuts) but I am srsly lacking Int. Most of my damage comes from CA and autoattack, due putting most points in Str/Sta/Agi/Wis/+MCrits. With nathsar short sword I am able to oudamage a lot of casters in grps, but on raids it'll be another thing. Maybe the soulfire gladius will improve this a lot(+~12 DR and the proc). In AA I went with hero/wrath/support, so Call to duty and so on proc a lot more. Any ideas on this, except going Int?AA-Crusader:Ok, this is wehre most Pally's won't understand me.                      Sta:4-4-8-6-1                               The first two are just for the following points, 8 in melee crits is needed to build aggro, 6 in hp                                for my second weakest point, and 2 for DA for grping and raiding(never know when someone                                adds 10k mobs or the initial hit of the encounter is a nuclear missile)                      Wis:4-4-8-6-1                               Same as above for the first 2, 8 for skills(otherwise I hit as often as a blind one on lsd) 6 in                                    combat reg to fill up the points for fear immunity(heard a lot of t8 mobs fear, so running away                                won't be my concern)                      Agi:6-4-4-7                               6 in +agility(gues where my avoidance comes from) 4 in Tjost for rooting mobs, 4 in                                            aoe-attack(comes in handy for grps) and 7 in higher ground(<3 +def and immunity to                                            knockbacks)I tried my best to compensate some things but maybe you're seeing something I don't see, I'd be grateful for any help.

Stacking with DA is important, most pallies avoid it (or used to) claiming it to be useless. I've noticed w/ the ROK raids, they hit like mack trucks loaded with c-4. which is why i'll have to say, even though its only 1% more, crit damage for tanking is kindof moot. yeah its cool, but wont do much for you, as amends w/ any hate buff (dirge, coercer) basically seals the deal. i'd say give the 2 to the HP, as you're claiming to be a little light ( and a good strength buff is gonna give you more damage than a couple bits of melee crit)                      Wis:4-4-8-6-1                               Same as above for the first 2, 8 for skills(otherwise I hit as often as a blind one on lsd) 6 in combat reg to fill up the points for fear immunity(heard a lot of t8 mobs fear, so running away won't be my concern)

Do not for anyreason let the board bludgeoners tell you the wis line is useless. if there's one thing i've noticed, darn near EVERYTHING has a fear. Fearless is incredibly helpful. I also maxed out the combat buff, as better skill=less resists. not to mention the straight 2% boost to yourself and your group(small yes, but every bit counts). I like to be one with the group buffs, bring something to the party for everyone!

Agi:6-4-4-7                               6 in +agility(gues where my avoidance comes from) 4 in Tjost for rooting mobs, 4 in aoe-attack(comes in handy for grps) and 7 in higher ground(<3 +def and immunity to  knockbacks)

here, i say that you need to pluck those 2 out of the agility stat, and max the Defense and put another in the AOE's. Just like the melee crits, 14 agility isnt going to do as much for you as added Defense skill. agility has a diminishing returns curve, straight avoidance only has a cap ( to the best of my knowledge).

My two cents

Hmm.. is this a typo? Didnt really think 70% mitigation was possible to get as a paladin. Atleast not while still able to get 11.2k hp, 53%+ mit.. 60% yes.. its rought to get, but certainly doable.. If 70 is possible at lvl 80, then I really need to go search for upgradeable items.. hehe.. SMILEY

All I read there is about 70% avoidance, nothing about that amount of mitigation. And the high avoidance can be achieved by those new block items, shields and the higehr def bonus from the agi line.

Actually I have 64% avoidance solo, without agi line, and reach up to 69% on a raid constellation as an OT. Mitigation is still low as no good drops so far (mitigation on mastercrafted is no more than a blanket and far lower than T7 legendary) and is solo at 54% and on raids at 58%.
