I have been through maidens completey a few times.  No problem with a guardian, rough with a Paladin, but the SK always get hung up on the final mob Drusella.  I was wondering if there are any SKs that have successfully tanked her could lend some advice for me to tell my SK guildy.  Considering most of the Sk spells that are of the question with her healing.  Anything could help spell timing, group makeup, etc.

Been doing it since level 77 no problem.  Don't use anything that has a dot attached.  Use Death March, Siphon Strength, rescue and FD to get agro back.  When her buff is down burn the snot out of her.  Rinse and repeat.  Yeah if DPS doesn't hold back you are gonna loose agro.  You just have to deal with it.

I'm pretty sure you also have to turn off your damage shield any buffs that people put on you that are damage shields, and cancel any buffs that proc a DOT that somene might of buffed you with.  Yea SK has alot of dots which they can't use on that fight including our main single target taunt.  I usually have a ranger kite it around and try to keep the agro on me best i can without dots, the mob is pretty easy just requires timing and controlling your group members as you know.

You can cast your Insidious Promise and the shield bash right after her buff goes down. If you cast them FIRST once her buff is gone, the timers on both will expire before she tosses it back up. You can also chain cast your AE taunt while the buff is up, as it does not do damage or put you into atk mode. Other than that, I just melee and straight up DD's between when its not up.  Oh yea and cancel your Nefarious Caress spell, and do not use Grave Blessing.

After playing around with her a couple times, agro is no longer an issue.

What Skar said exactly, and go in with your 'specialities' up (FD, DM, DT).

There are quite a few hate items etc as well that will help if you are really having issues generating hate (or your groupmates are subpar on controlling their aggro).

Cloak of the Vikompt

1H sword off the CoA end boss (forget the name)

B'ieros Defender

Signet of the Ethereal (AoE block guild item, but has a 10% hate component attached)

Lots of deity blessings and miracles.

etc etc.

It's really not much diff for any of the tank classes in there. Most of the other tank classes need to maintain dammage, or have hate abilities directly attached to dammage abilities as well. We have to be careful with our DoTs, and spike our hate when its "safe". Takes some familiarity with the encounter is all.

I've never done this before, and I haven't tanked anything end-game in EQ2 yet but after reading this thread I was wondering if anyone has tried using the Splitpaw taunt on this particular mob?I may be out of line and or not know what I'm talking about but it would seem like its worth a shot when you can't use the promise taunt?

Hehe, Yup get the splitpaw taunt and replace it for that fight (you'll get more resists to that taunt but meh) the split paw taunt is also good to use against epics when they have there reflect abilities up.

Turn off your damage sheilds and life tap wards.

i tanked drusella sucessfully once on my sk last week sometime.  go back in last night and just got slaughtered.  i would follow almost to the T what is written here, and do a full burn out of taunts, dd'd etc all i can when her shield is down, then boom, knock up and aggro switches to a healer, or someone else.  DM, rescue, etc all just do not refresh fast enough to rely on last night.  it seemed every 30 sec or so she would knock up and boom aggro gone.
