Hello.. just wondering if there is a way to hide the main pet of a necro.  Tried doing /pet hide, but only seems to hide the diety pet.. not the main one. Any ideas if i'm doing something wrong?

Thanx for any replys

Yeah......While soloing.....catch aggro in the worst spot at the worst time....now turn around....your tank pet is nowhere to be found....hence....pet hide.....hehe

There is no way to do that...and out of curiosity, why would you want to?

On the PVP side, they would never allow this.  Imagine seeing a lone necro standing seemingly afk, no pet in sight, you sneak in and WHAM pet out of no where starts nuking, slashing, etc.  You look around and see nothing, look back at the necro in time to see him dancing as you die.

On a more general and serious note, it still would not be possible, since how can a hidden pet attack, do damage etc?  And if it has agro how would it work if the mob is fighting an invisible pet?

I did not get the impression the OP was talking about "during combat".

But rather while roaming around.

It could make sense in zones where pets cause aggro simply by walking by.  Not sure how many of those left though.

EQ1 used to have this feature automatically on the Magician's air pet.....it would dissappear after a while while not in combat, then once you get hit, or sick it, BAM!!! there is Jobaber.....lol

Invisibility works wonders on keeping pets from accidental aggro.

Pets do not get accidental agro.

I can't tell if this was a bad try at a troll by the OP or not since he has never come back to explain the request.

We may not be able to hide them, but we will be able to shrink them soon (see test notes)
