Very slow download speed.

Hello.I just installed the game again after a long time away. The Estimated Time Remaining for the Update is 675:31 minutes. It's been running for about 6 hours already. I DON'T have KoS installed yet, only the core game and DoF.I've already paid for my subscription -- it would be unfortunate (and a little unfair) if I paid for 30 days but was forced to wait 28 before I could play. Can you tell me how to speed this up, please?I have the my information (dxdiag, msinfo, eq2info) ready to be posted, but the forum won't let me (exceeds maximum size). I'll put my dxdiag and eq2info up in a few subsequent posts, but my msinfo (even cropped to the requested sections) is too large.Thanks!

As the download progresses, that time estimate will revise downwards a lot. It tends to be wildly inaccurate at the start.When you are patching or doing a big digital download, remember that the voice-packs are hugeous, and they do take some time to come down.  Another issue is that some ISPs (like my own grossly inferior one) have "Fair Use" policies in which they throttle yoru bandwidth off after a while to keep you from "hogging" it.  I'm on a satellite m,odem, which also means lots of latency, so that can add to slowness.All-in-all though, go grab a cup of joe or a snack and check back. The downloads are never as long as they claim initially.

Thanks, Richard and Seidhkona! When I returned to the computer this morning, the download had been canceled, but that link you posted seems to have done the trick! After I made those Administrator changes, and let the download run for about 30 minutes, the ETR is at just over 7 hours!Much appreciated!

Just an update:My Estimated Time Remaining has now crept back up to about 70 hours...Any further advice?

Aw man, I needed to reset me computer and (after waiting a while) the ETR is at 575 hours...It is seeming increasingly likely that I won't be able to play this game much (if at all) for the next month? But I just paid for a month's play-time.Can I get reimbursed, then wait for the download, THEN pay? I can't believe I'm paying to wait a month while the actual product downloads...Edit: Or maybe, can anyone tell me if there's a way to SKIP downloading the voicepacks? I would really just like to play. I don't need the voicepacks right now. If I could skip them when I want to play, I could set them to download at night and eventually I'd get them all.
