I currently play a conjuror at level 25.  I've only been playing the game for about 3 weeks, so I have little to no experience with other classes.  I've been thinking about trying a necro to see how they compare to conjurors.  I'm not sure I completely understand the difference between the two summoning classes and how their playstyle differs.  Or are they the same play style but one is good and one is evil?  I have enough experience to know that the game really begins at the level cap.  I'm looking forward to end-game instances, zones, and raids.  Thanks for your input!

There really is little to no real significant difference between a Conjuror and Necro until you get to level 50, other than necros get a Lifetap and conjurors get better AEs.At 50 is when things change. Conjurors get Blazing Presence, which means their pet deals huge damage, and therefore gets snap aggro and keeps it when soloing. Necros on the other hand get Lich, which basically means they never run out of power. There's other smaller differences too in utility spells, but until 50 the classes are extremely similar.

Yea, I would agree with Xalmat,  I would say over all playstyle at all levels is very similar.  With both you just send in pet and blast away with spells till the mob dies.  Necros have a bit more utilty with the ability to heal other players, rez dead players, fear adds and feign death to help survivability.  Conjurors (though I've never played one) seem to have good dps on multi-mob encounter, and have a lot of spells to make pet stronger like death prevention, and buffs for pet.  Both are an excellent choice if you wanna solo quickly to level cap cause they both solo very well.
