![]() Enigma of the Alchemist Volume 2 and 4 have rugged and thriving and epiphant(sp)polishes. any reason why volume 3 doesnt have these recipe's? |

Its about balancing the game. Some items for instance give a 1% crit boost to certain skills, now making an upgrade to 2% or higher later on can cause balancing problems between classes, so keeping these low is desired. Adornments have to be taken into the context of classes and while the adorn upgrade itself may seem minimal, when added to several things across a class the impact can be significant.

Not making certain adornments every tier allows a progression in the item (i.e. 1% for one, skip a tier, 2% for the next) that isn't overpowering. It makes it reasonable to allow more effects be part of adornments. Also, remember you can adorn a higher level item with a lower level adornment. A level 56 item can be adorned with a level 50, 40, 30, etc, but not a 60.
