Hello, I am looking for a duo to play when my wife falls asleep......

I will be two boxing these.  I am looking for something that will allow me to kill mobs fast enough so my lifetaps would keep me alive.  So, I was thinking of using a Warlock for the AE damage.  I figure if I hold aggro and and use the Warlock for maybe one or two AE attacks (however many they get) that I would have no problems.....is this far fetched?

If not I guess Warlock and defiler is the other option.....which would a seasoned SK prefer?

I prefer Sk/Inquisitor but you will have to fight with yourself over the plate armor drops : )

Though I've only 2 boxed for leveling (just get bored with low end content), My SK is the main and have only mentored 2 boxing, I have tried both warlock and defiler.  Warlock SK was much better with the AoEs.  With the Defiler there didn't seem to be enough dmg output and wasted time clicking heals for skill ups.  Both of them however seemed a tad slow as compared to 2 box mentoring with a zerker which was awesome lighting fast jackie chan, crouching tiger hidden dragon style brawls and fast xp.

For sheer survivability, I'd take a defiler over a warlock.

They have enough for me SMILEY<img src=

-Sizeable Mitigation Debuff (~900+ with AAs)

-Nice Skills Debuff

-Odyssey (send people home when their calls are down...self or groupmate)

-Nice STR debuff

-Root/stifle

-Fear/Daze

-Power Tap

-Verdict

-AOE 2.5 second stun

-Soothe (for slipping by aggro enemies without aggroing them)

-Full lines of multi-proc punishments/Dots etc that allow DPS to continue when switching back to full blown healing.....2 of which Knockdown MOB healer/casters....and Mob DPSers as well (beneficial spell/CA knockdown every time mobs cast). Constant interrupts on other abilities (really shakes up mob DPS).

-AA choices for: 13 second Mez, Sheild Block, Divine Aura, knockdown stun.....as well as the typical Divine Recovery cast fest, among others.

-Strong DPS if specc'd for it.

-DPS mod (Aura), Fanatisism +145 INT for group with cast/recast speed boost and DPS MOD, Dammage proc buff etc..

**I like duoing with furies too, mind you. Fury ports are nice at times, but I don't "need" em often (and I also spend as much time in the old world as the new). Cheetah is nice when training zones (like last night....I trained a fury to the Forge to complete wyrmslayer....cheetah (and my divine aura when dammage piled up a bit) got us all the way to the hall before the Hall of Rites in SoS in 1 sprint). The INT boost is nice, as is their DPS. Urchin is decent at times also, root...... pretty good stuff too overall.

Hard to knock Inquis though, they bring a ton to the table that works well with SKs.

Soothe and Odyssey SMILEY<img src=

vs. Cheetah, Group invis and EoF ports SMILEY<img src=

More non-combat from furies. More combat utility for Inquis imo. I'd prefer the combat utility anyday, that's when things really count (for my playstyle anyway) SMILEY<img src=
