Most necro's, myself included, choose Solusek Ro.  The pet gives you +to INT, and the cloak gives you +65 to spell damage.  Bertoxxulous is returning some time b4 or with Rise Of Kunark.  He is rumored be a god of disease/poison and will probably be the choice for necro's in the future.  But for now Solusek Ro, works well for me.

Bertoxxulos is the god of disease and decay.  His home plane is the plane of disease, and I would imagine he would be the deity of choice for a necromancer.  From what I understand he is one of the gods coming out with RoK.

Yes, for now, the best dEIty (I stress the e before the i because it goes against what we learn in school) for necros for now is Ro. But as they said, Bertox should be coming soon, and his focus on disease should greatly benefit us.

And because the other two ignored the other part of your question, Ro starts at 312.34, 208.08, 24.61 .

Except the full rule is "I before E execpt after C, or when it sounds like A."  And deity is pronounced "day-it-ee", so it follows the rule.  ("dee-it-ee" is an accepted alternate pronunciation, at least according to dictionary.co m, but the word comes from the latin root "dei", which has an A sound.  "deus ex machina", etc.) Thus ends the pedantfy.

There is no "best", imo.  There is "better" if you want to do X, but I wouldn't say it's a game breaker.  The dirtly little secret is that our DPS is HIGHLY fragmented and a good chunk of our damage is uneffected by our INT and +damage/crit gear.  Does Ro help?  Yes, but not as much as one might think.

For me, Brell was a better choice because of the +STA/WIS off the pet, the blessing that gives me +750 health/power for 10 minutes, and the single target nuke (while not as impressive as Ro's) has a stun component that comes in handy in some situations.  There's also the crafting buff and the miracle that effectively one-shots a combine (no other god has that).  Oh and the cloak has a heal proc, which certainly helps out with our health costs.

I suggest you do some research on the eq2 wiki and see which one best fits your play-style.

How is brell a better choice in terms of doing DPS than Ro?  Sta/Wis doesn't do anything really, extra few hitpoints.  Not sure who uses miracles/blessings anymore the sacrifice cost is just not worth it IMO.

Simple... more hitpoints for lifeburn and in general I just sacrifice junk out of Poets to pay for those miracles/blessings.
