The past couple of days, while grouping in RoV and Nek Castle, I have noticed a slow down during battle on my computer after playing for a long time, like long enough to do a lot of running around completing quests in Nek Castle, maybe 1.5 hours. The problem reminds me of a memory leak problem that I have seen in other games. This is a recent problem, as in I have only noticed it the past couple of days.

Could also be heat related.  Dust builds up on the heatsinks (pulled in by the fans), insulating them rather than dissipating the heat.  Try a can of compressed air.

Oh, and if you've got allergies, you might want to put it in the shower or outside before doing that.  Trust me. SMILEY

I always clean my computers outside.  Make sure you get a can with an attachable plastic tube so you can get right where you need it.

As far as memory leaks, I've only noticed it when I Tab back and forth between the game and the desktop. Otherwise, doesn't happen. As far as slowing down in battle, try turning down particle effects and the level of detail on other characters - especially when you have a lot of casters flinging spells all over the place. Turning off stuff like shadows and such will really help.Very likely to be heat related too. If you want to know for sure, after the 1.5 hours, when it begins to slow down, exit the game and enter your BIOS and look up your CPU and ambient temperatures. If you narrow it down to heat, then you can either install bigger, higher volume fans on your case, or if you're cheap like me, open up the whole side panel of your case and just blow a large fan directly at the motherboard.

I have always noticed laggy conditions in zones such as Nek Castle and RoV due to the fact that they are indoor zones and have more rendering than outdoor zones.  Having to render walls and ceilings to make enclosed areas really take a toll on computers as compared to outdoor zones where there is not a lot of rendering in one area.
