![]() 1) Rangers don't need "nerfed" - they are not in the top 3 PvP classes statistically! (eq2 players) 2) Furies don't need "nerfed" - When using my monk, i can regularly beat furies but i sure as hell don't use the same tactics as I would when fighting e.g. an assassin. You can't just spam the same CAs, use the same gear (especially if you are in the "i-can't-be-bothered-to-gear" camp) for every class. 3) Some classes will be better than you ----> Rock, scissors, paper. Use different tactics or......group!!! 4) Don't c/o that prices are "too high" on a broker, IF they seem high then that means when YOU sell stuff it will also sell high e.g. on Nagafen you can sell rubbish treasured T2 gear for 2gold, and good treasured for A LOT more!! BASIC ECONOMICS. 5) ITS NOT HARD TO GEAR ---> Gfay,DLW,Quest treasured is better than most MC/Fabled at tier 2. Example of a Treasured lvl 20 (i do have a few MC pieces, but mainly just treasured)http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=917364120 With class buffs my "treasured toon has 50% resists".....far better than MC toons. L2P is the worst counter-argument to a discussion I have ever read. It lacks anything remotely constructive. Sure some posts are whines, but IMO most of the nerf >insert class< posts have at least some legitimate points. Just because a class is not statistically "TOP DOG" doesn't mean they are obviously balanced. The game is being changed all the time, and it is quite clear some classes will be generally easier/more powerful that others in general. This IMO will always be the way. Applying your logic IRL, would basically mean that anyone that has a different view from you/general culture, then they are obviously wrong because some few (aka. TOP DOGS) special people can do it. Maybe these TOP DOGS are just an ANOMOLY. 1). IMO saying that rangers aren't in the top 3 must be a joke. IMO they are by far the easiest class to be successful with in the game for PvP.... Ofcourse other classes can replicate the success of a good ranger, but that person has to be a much better player, in better gear and have more luck. 2). Furies apparently (/shrug) are OP in the lower tiers? I can't comment on that because all my toons are 70, I just know that they don't go around killing 2+ people one after another like rangers "can and have done". This is no personal "dig" on rangers, I am just using your first point as an example. 3). Some classes are designed to be more self sufficient (scouts) and others are designed to make a grp far more powerful (enchanters). When a group orientated player wants to own like a scout, that's when you get problems... however, most people just want "some" degree of soloability, which I think is fair. 4). I've personally never had a problem with cash...and if you grp and/or craft then neither should you. Enough said. 5). /Agree.. it isn't hard to gear.. /shrug.. you feel better now you let it all out? |

Wow..... L2P... sad stuff man.Rangers IMO in lower tiers, suck the big one. higher tiers, thats your call I know nothing.Furies however I do know aren't the gods in T7, but you cannot sit here and tell me that furies are not OP in T3/4.I don't care if you can kill them, but I guarantee any T3/4 decently geared fury can [Removed for Content] anything in 1-2 shots (that is just screwed up). I understand the nature of the fury is to have the "wrath of nature" but out DPSing a wizard is beyond ridiculous in PvP especially when they can do that, have better armor, and heal.EX: my wizard is probably one of the strongest T3 guys out there but I can only nuke for say 600 (750-800 if i get lucky) a shot in PvP despite my gear and full masters... but then I go up against a fury, get resisted and get hit for 1100(non crit)....Ok, now tell me thats not OP?P.S. before half the population comes here saying I suck and am not one of the top T3 guys... I solo so bite me thats why my rec sux and I'm only champ.

![]() Bloode I'm getting sick of your offensive attitude towards Rangers saying they're easy to play compared to other classes when that isn't true. You got your Assassin to 70 prior to the GU36 nerf when the Assassin was VERY easy to play, now with the nerf you're having a problem playing them. You leveled a Warden to 70 because druids prior to GU36 were stomping your Assassin, making you think they were overpowered, you even have posts asking how to kill a druid. The only class you've played that wasn't easy was the Coercer. Early on virtually every class is easier to play than the Ranger. Try one in PvP to at least 30, and you'll understand why. Post 55 a Ranger begins to reach his prime, but still isn't the easiest class to play. The Brigand and Swashbuckler are easier to play. The Ranger isn't as hard as a post GU37 Assassin, but they're not easy to play. When everything goes right, (8% of the time) a Ranger will kill anyone, there is no dispute about that, but we're talking about a small fragment of time.

Two of the top classes that are rarely played and spec'd right in AAs are the Defiler and Inquisitor. If there were more people playing them, you'd see a lot of people forgetting about druids and how powerful they are.

I have seen a fair number of these threads and a thread such as this rarely gets very far. No, not because a moderator came along and moderated it, but because the conversation was one that just encouraged a flame war.Beginning a thread with "L2P" and references to other threads (some of which have been previously moderated) is just a flame war waiting to happen and I am afraid I need to close this thread. Please folks -- civil discussions only please. If you feel the need to use terms like "L2P", "whine", "cry", or similar, it is a likely sign that what you are posting is not constructive and you shouldn't click that "submit" button.
