My Illusionist has just reached level 30 so want to replace my old armour. Would I be right in getting Tranquil armour for the INT stats or would you recommend something else.

Thanks for the help

I have an alternate for each of the mage classes and I almost always go for the Intelligence and Wisdom for the first two priorities.

I'd say you are choosing correctly Nink.  Finger wagglers need INT to cause as much damage as possible.  I'd also agree with the other reply which said go for WIS too. What I tend to do with my mages is armour is all INT based.  I'll then go for a mastercrafted imbued wand (means you have a ranged form of attack that doesn't use power).  I'll try for two +INT and +WIS items for the secondary and charm slots (the ones to the right of the primary weapon slot).  I then try have 2 INT Hex Dolls (normally at least one mastercrafted) for my main charm slots BUT I also have a spare +STR one (one of the problems with casters is we are very weak so end up burdened very quickly - having spare +STR items can help you get around without walking like a zombie!).  I then aim for as much +INT jewelery as possible BUT if a good item that ups a few stats is available I'll happily use that - usually handcrafted/mastercrafted jewelery ups a few stats at the same time.INT is number one priority but upping any of your stats is always a good thing. SMILEYFor me there's always one last question about armour, and that is do you go for the imbued to get the 5% chance of a heal for the robe and 5% chance of damage for the bloomers/trousers/pants.  I used to think that pet users could skip the imbued and go for maximum INT but Wizzies and Warlock would favour the imbued.  I've come to the conclusion that the 5% isn't worth it - a mages job is to make the mob(s) dead and make them dead quickly - so now I always go for maximum INT for armour (which means I don't choose the mastercrafted imbued).

The Imbue doesn't detract from the stats at all, it just adds the proc.  Considering the only added cost is one of the glowing/shimmering/etc materials which are dirt cheat on the broker I think they are worth the extra cost.
