Dear Devs,

Would it be possible to release the ability and spell lists for tier 8? I can understand if we have to wait for beta or when NDA is lifted. If so, can you at least post a date when you expect to be able to release such a list?

Reason for asking:I've built a tool for our guilds website, which enables members to select what spells (masters) they still need. I'd like to prepare for it by importing/typing in the spells and abilities before the expansion goes live! (need all my free time to play the expansion ofcourse! SMILEY)

Thanks in advance for considering.

/Kelpie

That's a really silly request.. Those list being released before live is rather foolish especially when those abilities/spells usually undergoing drastic, constant changes til going live.. Devs won't give you the list so you can constantly complaining and yell, "Why nerf this and that??"  when it's not considered a nerf cuz it was only a test ability/spells that will kept getting finetuned.

If you really want to know the list, sign up for the beta. SMILEY However,  you can't upgrade it in your guild website cuz of NDA. It's a catch 22..

Only very very obvious, common sense that we can predict on spells is that every spell/combat arts tend to be upgraded every 14 levels and we could use that to form our own spell/ca list without asking them. What we cannot know is anything new such as ancient spells, anything brand-new stuff outside the obvious pattern that we see in the past. You can go ahead to make list on spells +14 levels for each class if you want.. generally, any spells before lvl 67 would get upgraded..  67 to 70 are largely un-upgradable.. That is why lvl 67-70 value holds while lvl 60 to 67 spells value starts to drop like brick lately..

To bad they are changing to a 10 level upgrade system in Kunark.

I would assume that % based spells won't get an upgrade but every other spell will see an upgrade in Kunark....even the level 70 ones.

Ah, that's interesting. Where do you hear this from? This new approach breaks from the pattern that we saw in past 2 level cap increasing expansions.. I wonder how can they cram all lower tier spells into upgrading spells within 10 levels? Unless they just decided to have mult-spell upgrades per level then? I liked EQ1 approach when we get many spells upgrades per level and even get upgraded 5 or 6 levels later heh.

Actually, I found his request reasonable, and your response rude. SoE is free to say "No" but a simple list of spell names, levels, and spell replaced (if any) would be useful to us all.

Where did we hear about the spells being replaced? no offense but have you been living under a rock for the last month. SMILEY

It has been on the boards for awhile now. They are changing it and yes it is breaking the 14 lvl replacement rule we have had since Day 1.

All your spells will be replaced in the next 10 lvls unless its a %age based spell. There is also much talk about possible spell consolidation. Check out your class forums for more information on that and to voice your opinion for or against them ( personally I am against it but thats my opinion  based on my class  and a my hubbys class ).

Even if you were to get into beta - it may give you a "general" idea of when spells will be replaced, but until it goes live there are changes right up till that point. In fact they could change them even after that.

Good luck though!
