I need to ask a question about you necros charm undead..

When you cancel the spell does it "hate" you or does it just go neutral and attack the nearest player?

Is it the same as the coercer charm so if it breaks it makes a b-line to the charmer?

The reason I'm asking is that I have seen a necro for last week "dropping " their ^^^ charmed undead mob on poor players who are trying to quest. Of course it kills them and the necro carry's on and re-charms it. I Have stolen the pet several times when he's done this and warned him, he ignores me and goes and gets another.

Is this acceptable behavior??? I have reported him. I'm not on a PvP server and there are farmers in the area so maybe he assumes all a farmers.

If you were to see a soloer in combat with a group or double downs would you drop the mob on him?? For fun?

it's no acceptable he's either a bot in living tombs or some low life who needs to be banned report him and call him out on the channels if you have the chance to ..    one the charm is broken the necro has hate..   usually the necro will FD the cancel the charm while fd so the mob will become agro and most of the time it will not reset.

Its not acceptable behavior even if it is farmers. Sheesh, people that want to kill other players should roll on pvp servers. And keep petitioning him. He might get himself banned for doing that.

I was only in there last week, with my coercer minding my own business wasnt really watching the necro who was there busy farming, while in combat he drops the Market Enforcer onto me, I didnt even have time to mezz it killed me from behind way too quickly.

So I just logged onto my 70 necro and spent a few hours there killing grey mobs to reduce his profit margins.

At one point he was able to train 3 Market Enforcer onto me one after the other. First one I cast Dominate on, he goes gets another releases it I start trying to kill it, then he brings a THIRD and drops that onto me as well. Now necros have 5 min timer on Deathly Pallor (FD) and this guy did all that in the space of a minute. So he trained 3 heroic onto me without even using feign death.

How is that possible?

tell the mob to stay put, move out of its leash range, drop the pet. It wont aggro you but people in its vincinity.

Key words being, out of leash range. youn eed to be far enough away so that the mob would break if it had run after you.

Yea I've heard the plat farmers on certain servers are a bit aggressive in Living Tombs.  Only thing you can do is do it back and report them.  You can safely do things that are against EULA rules for those people because they won't petition you, since what they're doing is against SOE policy.  So grief away!

I have yet to be a victim of this deplorable behavior, but I do feel there is one and ONLY ONE place for it. Since SOE hardly ever takes steps to ban farmer bots such as the ones in LT or PoF, doing this is the only was to grief them enough to make them leave the game of their own free will.

If you have ever tried to kill the sandscrawler mobs in pof for a quest, and suddenly find your self trained by some dude with a five man pillar running behind him, you would love to be able to return the favor.

The coercer's Possesion spell works in the same way. I have used it on group bots if the location is right. Find a nearby 3+++ heroic, possess it, run it over to them while they are engged in combat and cancel spell. Voila! An add they probably won't be able to handle. Some of the bot groups I have even had time for possess to recharge. That way you could send in adds till they were dead.

If people want to kill players, plat farmers or otherwise, they should go to a pvp server instead of violating the eula.

so people being screwed by these over aggressive plat farmers on the regular servers should just learn to bend over and take it then?  If SOE doesn't want to do anything about these people and the way they go about playing this game, then why shouldn't the player be able to take back a little enjoyment back into the game? There are other avenues to explore being just doing unto others, but a lot of times the GMs don't really care what happens in these plat farmer happy areas.

By training them you are lowering yourselves to their level. And apparently, people mistake legit players for botters and train them too. Again, if you want to kill players, go to a pvp server, otherwise, adhere to the eula.and people need to realize that farming is not in violation with the eula, nor is multiboxing, so when you run into someone monopolizing content or training you, petition them for that, not for botting, farming or whatever.

they konw necros use their AoE and he brings the mob close to you then waits for you to aoe and take agro from the mob.. loking your encounters can help at least so they cant break your roots..

AND   [Removed for Content] all the farmers  ..   take any steps you can to mess up their day at work ..  evrytime you train a farmer an angel smiles up in heaven  SMILEY

Thanks Ulvhamne.  Someone trains my quad-box group, they will get reported.  Granted I never monopolize content, or farm. And since I play on Test, I never run into dicks who would do this.Mal
