sli graphics card work with eq 2??

i'm building a new system and toying around with busing two graphics card in sli mode. but from research i've done it seem sli works great when it s works but is problematic with some games. due too they they just aren't desiegned to work with 2 graphics cards. and was wondering if anyone her has beenn or tried using sli with this game and how well it works? new system spec are going to be amd dual core 6000+ 2gig dual channel ddr2 800mhz corsaire xms ram nvidia 570sli mobo and 2 xfx 256mb gddr3 8600gts oced in the new system as they are in my price range comapare to 2 8800gts by the same company. and running windows xp sp2(as vista is a garbage os at the moment)

Can anyone run SMOOTHLY at Extreme Quality?

What will the screen resolution be for this new computer?

i have a 19inch wide screen wgxa lcd so it'll be 1440X900 which is the max for it

Then that setup should make good use of SLI. Nvidia video driver's are multi-core CPU aware. The benefit's of going SLI with this game is running higher screen resolution along with AA/Ansio turned up.
