I don't have any actual hard numbers, but I noticed something peculiar. Whenever I place both STA debuffs on a mob I tend to do more damage then normal. Any one else notice this? Or am I just seeing things.

Wail of the ancients reduce poison and elemental resistance (if I remember right) and you have both cold and poison attacks so, yeah, you should do more damage or something is broken

From Update 37 Casting skill debuffs will have improved results against NPC targets Maybe this has something to do with it?

STA debuffs will reduce over all hp's of a mob so it might seem like you are doing more damage cause the mob is dieing faster but you might be doing the same damage just the mob has less hps so it IS dieing faster and/or as someone has stated the debuff component on wail of the ancients will cause your spells and ca's (non-melee ones) to do more damage as well.

And I see this when use 'Circle of Ancients' to do AE damage - it goes well over 1k when used with Wail on a fairly consistent basis when I eyeballed it; If I can I'll try to run some real metrics one day... |

You can run metrics if you like, but it's already pretty well understood that debuffing a mob's resistances will result in larger hits for that damage type landed against it. For level appropriate groups of mobs, it's generally a good idea to land that AE debuff before you land that AE attack. I know I get my money's worth out of it.
