problem with new computer/vista

i just bought a new computer and i downloaded eq2 from direct2drive (just like i did on my old computer). after i installed the game, i tried to open it. it pulled up the blue window that comes before the screen with the "play" button, but it didn't open the launch screen. is there something extra i need to download for windows vista?

Need to set it up to run as admin or disable UAC.
