Is there a way to check the mail I've sent or recieved?

I've found a mail file in my EQ2 folder but it's a dat file and I cant open it.

If not is there a program you can recommend to open that file? A free program?

Everytime we send or receive mail there is text in the chat screen. If you type /log on in your chat screen then a text log can be found for that character in the eq2 folder. There are programs that can read from that text file or we can even open that text log file with clipboard and search by a keyword.

A GM can check their serverside logs. If you make a /petition and need some kind of search for lost missdirected mail, perhaps the game master can help you.  I don't know of anyway to open the mail dat. files. good luck!
