Which class is better suited for soloing? I'm trying to only make 2 characters, and one of them is a Wood Elf / High Elf Dirge. I suppose he will be more of a 'group' oriented character. The other is a toss up between Halfling Warden and Halfling Necro. I kind of have a little story behind the druid, but for the most part it is in name only. (I've had halfie druids named Pilchar before) I'm leaning toward Necro however, only because this second character is more of an exploring/adventuring/soloing type of guy, and Necros seem to be better at that kind of thing. with invis and the pet and all. I have a good name reserved for him, but I just picked it recently. ( Snickerdoodle, Halfling Necro SMILEY ) As you can tell, I really care about my characters' names. SMILEY So basically; Are Necros good for soloing and exploring dungeons and the world of EQ2? How good are wardens for the same thing? Thanks!

Necro's are good for soloing lots of "solo mobs" in a chain.  They can take on heroic content, but it's never just a matter of sending in the pet and letting it go to town while simply "supplementing the pet" either.  Well. . maybe against deep greens. . .Anyway -- they get invis at level 15, and are pretty good for soloing dungeons.  They have a faign death, but the 5 minute recast n it makes it o they can't "feign/flop" around a dungeon like a monk or bruiser can.  That said -- the FD is incredibly useful in those "oh snap!" situations. . . .

Wardens are good for soloing single mobs at a time.  They can take on heroic content of blue con rather easily.  I havne't tried white con yet, becuz I've been questing for aa's and I have this annoying tendency to level up, even with combat xp off, so I keep ending up way higher than my quest content. . . .   But anyway -- On my warden, I am pretty twinked -- full mastercrafted, and at least half ad3's and masters, plus I've completely capped out my AA spec for melee damage -- and I can take on blue heroic nameds without difficulty.  My necro could never do that.  Even with her current M1 tank pet I'd not consider going after a blue heroic with her.  Blue heroic group, yes, but not a ^^^ named.  Add that my warden runs around at 50% speed all the time and if I want to get somewhere I can just train to it.  No mob can keep up.  Granted, this doesn't work so well in densely populated dungeons, though. . . .   Wardens get ports, evac, and can use invis totem at level 30, so they can still sneak around a dungeon if they want.  Just not quite as early as a necro, plus they have to use bag space for the totems.

Overall. . .  I like them both for soloing.  Currently I'm preferring the warden.  That may be becuz it's a new toon for me and the novelty still hasn't worn off, but. . . frankly, I feel more powerful on my warden than on my necro.
