Can only start in Kelethin or Neriak? (Free Offer)

Hello people SMILEY

I checked around, and had no luck finding the answer to this question. I picked up the postcard for the free offer for EQII until Sept 15th and all the software, and after the long downloads, the game will only allow me to make a character to play in Kelethin or Neriak...there is a few races that can't start there, one in particular i'm looking to play..Erudite.

Is there any reason the game is making me start here? Will I be able to make another PC on the same server if I level one up to 5 or something?

I didn't look hard enough.

Apparently, this is a requirement of the promotion SMILEY For those confused on this like I was, just get a PC up to level 5 and then you can make another character anywhere you want. I'm going to make a character on a server I wasn't going to play on, so it doesn't limit the slots I have on Befallen, and see how that works SMILEY

better make it in another region too. all the servers in the same region (IE US) count towards the max chars.

Do you have to download a nother version of the client of you want to roll a toon in another region?

You do have to patch between the two. Most of the times the patch isn't gonna be that big but sometimes when they release a patch to the US it isn't on the EURO servers right away so... (if that patch just happens to have released a bunch of content it can take awhile)
