 First off enragin demeanor needs a upgrade now 49% was great and didnt need a upgrade but as it is now 15%-17% is a low teir buff and needs some love.

With the agro changes i have started to think about ways to make more agro.  And sometimes i cast harmonis link on myself and empathic soothing on my group. My question is, When does hate trasnfer and hate drop go into effect? 

 For instace say i generate 100 hate and 15% of that is transfered to tank so he gets 15 more hate. then the hate i have left is reduced by 30% .

or

Im doing about 30% less hate so 100-30 = 70 total hate with 15% of that being trasnfered.

From a numbers stand point it seems i should drop empathic soothing alltogether and not link my self. What do you raid coercer's think?

It goes into effect whenever the new GU goes in (today, tomorrow, or the day after--I forget) and yeah, you aren't going to want to put Harmonious Link on yourself or Empathic Soothing on your group if you're in the MT group.

Today. As far as Empathic Soothing goes, it depends on whether the aggro reduction is calculated before or after aggro transfer is done.  Clearly one is done before the other, but which?  I have no idea, as the devs have never said.  You could try a few similar encounter using ES and then a few without to see if there is any difference, but the variability of combat will probably mask it.

I put up teh group buff and just removed it from my personal buff bar not my maintianed seems to work fine.

But as far as making more agro .  As hard as i try with my AA spec and probalby lack of experiance i can only zone parse 500-600 dps.  And for group encounters i try to make extra agro on the mobs that tank isnt on with auspex on all of them and group stun daze ext, but i had a question.  Is there a button or command to target next mob in encounter, cause i cant ever hit the mobs i tab casue they 500m away =P.

Say a mob is immune to mezz will the mezz immunity count as a resist to mezz or will the mob never see me cast mezz on them?  I'm sure you all see where i am going mezz resist is hudge agro, and was hoping i could just toss encounter mezz up a few times to gen a ton of hate for tank, but im not sure if the mob see's the mezz if i cast it and they are immune.

I would dot on the pull and toss group mezz, thus having the dot break it, just to try to make more agro, I was aslo casting beholder's eye every fight just to try and generate some hate, but then sometimes i was getting agro =P double edge sword i guess

But with the thougnht snap change and the drop 2 hate position ability i think i managed to save many people in lyceum last night, after they went pruple of course.

I'm waiting to see if reseting a mob with Amnesia kills the tank, as well. SMILEY

Thats an interesting thought, and from past experience with amnesia and other transfer/deaggro spells i would say it would put the mob on the tank once you died.  I ran into something similar on a trip through labs with alzid.   took a couple of tries before i realized that the tank had a transfer/deaggro on me and that kept alzid from resetting.   I don't remember the exact spell but it was something an SK had.   I would say that the deaggro would go into effect before the transfer.   When i was speced with the Sta line and had the hate reducer it seemed that the MT would loose aggro more often with the reducer up. I had always associated that to the fact that the assassin in the mt would  be transferring less hate.

I only use anmesia on adds or when we are reseting a encounter not as a fighting agro tool, with agro positions so dam flacky someone who is just rezzed might get agro after i amnesi becasue they are buffing.  What i have been doing for agro is working fine and Raid DPS of 25k ish sees no hate jump cept for mana burn, life burn doesnt even make the mob jump. 

But i did have to make Serve Hate a macro casue i kept hitting the tank with it, I did /assist as first line then the ability that way im on the person who stole hate and reduce them, Having multiple casters that could steal agro this seems the way to go instead of macroing it for one person.

I find all our AE abilities even stun and sonic boom realy help the tank lock down encounters.  I allso toss all my dots and auspex on every mob in encounters, realy ups my dps, but if the tanks dies i die casue im right near the top of the agro list.

I would raly like thought snap to be a 12-17 second duration 7 just is just getting the mob back to the tank, or make be add a big time taunt to it like rescue.  Target encounter is locked to tank who generates 5k hate to target encounter. =P
