![]() Someone said that if I wanted to use a bow as a swash I should have just rolled a ranger. Is this the case? I know our ranged CAs a derived from throwing weapons but does using a bow really put me at a disadvantage? |

You are losing your throwing CA, Hail of Steel if you are a high enough level. I think you'd have to have a pretty good DR bow to offset that, to the point where it would be unrealistic to be able to pry one away from rangers and such. At T7, considering how easy that bag of cogs is to get I dont see the reason either. I did, however, use Raincaller on a PVP server back when the stun was still 5 seconds. That was fantastic.

well hail of steel is the most worthless CA we have ever had. and other that we have 1 ranged CA that does mediocre dmg and ranged weapons also have sub par damage ratings to bows. btw i use star darkened longbow and love it

Agreed, the ranged Swashy CA's are not worth giving up on the dmg that even the middle of the road bows can give. There are a few nice easy to get throwing weapons out there but for the most part bows are better.
