Since LU 36, it seems that my monk has gotten quite a bit better at soloing. With decent gear and lvl 70 I can manage some SoS stuff, but i havnt tried much else. Would anyone have some tips on where to solo some low lvl T7 nameds, except in Nest/poets/SoS? Maybe any perticular nameds that monks can handle very well for whatever reason. Ive got INT and WIS AA lines, and some pretty standard gear. Not much into crafting, so the only real way to make some cash would be killing things on Gazers Isle and harvest, but im pretty bored of that. Suggestions would be appreciated SMILEY

"BUT OK THEN"  We need a templar -- Falcon noob!!!!!!!!!!

I can solo everyname in SOS, POETS - but NEST you will have trouble on the 2nd and last named, but can solo the 1st and 3rd. I think #2 is possible if you have time to kill all the adds 1st. Besides those, its really just eq2maps and you ....the Bonemire mobs are hit and miss on ones you can handle. Catacombs are cake, Butler and maid are possible ( I did it) .......... most of EOF names actually aren't bad cept the actual castle isn't possible.

I must be doing something horribly wrong. . . I can't even reliably solo non-named in catacombs at level 70. Is it mainly gear, or AA spec? I'm completely DPS spec'd right now in AA, 448 sta/wis/int, and all my abilities are at least Adept III. My gear is mainly tailored and a few decent drops, only one legendary piece right now I think though. I saw some people talking about how deflection AA helps a lot, does it make that much difference in soloing?

No, get wis and int line to final ability. It's amazing that you get 75% critical when your hp is lower than 70%. Combining craneflock with tsunami, you can kill any mob except the epic x2 bat and a lv 70 named in the stair room without any problem.

Agreed.

I recently respeced to add the final Int ability (eagle shriek).  Fight normally until you hit 30% THEN hit tsunami, outward calm and crane flock.  The MoB will die.

I thought the 75% criticals kick in when your HP is lower than 30%....not 70%.  Am I mistaken?

Im mildly tempted to go down the stamina line instead of wisdom is it really that bad a choice? Of course Im going down the Int line and maxing crits and maybe the parry bit.

The advantage of WIS line is the final ability works well with hitting your other long cooldowns when you hit 30%. The 100% double attack on nearly 100% crit chance is insane while it lasts. And since it's the same cooldown as our Heal and Tsunami now, it fits perfectly. And it's better than mantis leap pretty much all the time, I use it whenever I get a multi pull in a group to help dps/hold aggro.

Since i am having trouble Soloing Nameds too, i have some questions: Do you fight in Def or Medium Stance ? Do you use Inner Fire ? Do you switch stances and when ? Do you use any potions and which ones ? Do you use any special gear that procs special stuff ? I am using Wis and Int endability, i am fighting in Medium stance, i dont use inner fire cause i have the feeling it kills me faster then i can do more dmg with it, i use an agi potion and no proc gear. I have 3 EoF Fabled Set Pieces and 2 EoF weapons with both 60+ dmg rating. Rest of my gear is Fabled KoS gear. In Fight i try to not just spam my Ca´s, i try to perma stun stiffle the mob and use all Ca´s i have. When i hit 30% Life i switch to offenisve-stance, click tsunami, click outward calm, click flock and go auto attack only. After tsunami is gone i switch to medium stance and heal myselve. I am able to clear Poets Palace, to kill the first mob in Nest, to kill some of the green nameds in SoS, but thats it. I am happy for every post that shows me what i am doing wrong or can do better. I am always in offensive stance. I don't use inner fire. To switch stance or not depends on your gears. It's really hard to say yes or no. You need to test by yourself. I was using str potion before since I have trouble to kill named before I run out of power. (I was using our temp mitigation buff and it costs our power to keep it up). Now, I don't use any potion since I don't use temp mitigation in soloing. When I was geared with legendary armors, the potion of regeneration and orb of war are helpful.

If I can't do a full Offensive burn on a mob (most 67^^^ under you can do a full burn unless its a caster), here's what I do - I start with our rooted mit buff/outward calm in Def stance then pull with ranged...after  I take the initial hit  I then switch to offensive stance and chain stun/stifle/daze and might swap back depending on the damage.

If all of your timers are down and you are in a clear non-add area - Fear works good while you wait for your stuns to refresh or as an extra brief stun.

If you don't have the shoulders from Skylord in TT definately get those b/c they proc alot with our haste and between that and our stifle it makes it ALOT easier. Make sure when you are fighting to watch for the mobs spell casting and use the AE taunt or a stun to interrupt the mob.

Do you use Inner Fire ?   No unless I'm doing tsunami/craneflock I will turn it on/off

Do you use any potions and which ones ?  No
