Tradeskills

So I just made it into the town of Qeynos and realized that I have a quest to find a tradeskill and I realized that I have no idea what the different ones are other than the list I see. Can anyone give a short description of what there is to pick from and which are generally considered good and bad? I figured I should probably start sooner rather then later.

There are many tradeskill guides available in other sections within the tradeskill section, I would strongly recomend taking a look at them as they have done me a great service as well. As for which tradeskill is better? Well I must admit I have created a toon for just about every tradeskill there is and have determined that not unlike the adventure classes they are all about equal in the sense of what they produce, and the demand for thier wares. I have spend the most amount of time with tailoring, and have had a great deal of sucess with that tradeskill. In my experience scribing seems to be the most challenging for me and most frustrating. I would have to say though that like just about anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it.
