![]() Hi all Firstly let me apologise a thread on this already exists, i wasnt able to find one. During my brief tour of another game (i wont post its name in case thats a forum violation) I liked the ability to create a text only macro. This function allowed me to type a name for an icon relating a macro instead of using an icon picture. There doesnt seem to be many tiles to choose from for macros in EQ2 and i wonder if there is any way to do this in eq2 as it stands? Thanks! |

![]() You can use the same Icon over and over for all your macros. You can name them what ever you like. But you can only call a macro from a hot bar button with an Icon, as far as I know. This discussion belongs in the "Look and Feel" forum. |

MAcros in EQ2 are only supposed to assit you not be used to afk something or interact any other way. The macro system had a huge overhaul and is alot easier. You can use command lines in it as well.

![]() Thanks for the replies guys and sorry for posting in the wrong forum, perhaps a mod can move this post somewhere more appropriate. Regardless of that i think i havent made myself clear. As far as i can see, if you make a macro that say...performs an emote and then casts a spell, or maybe equips an item. You have to choose an icon picture from the available list. What i would like is a black square with the name of the macro in white, for example, so that i can see which macro im looking for rather than mousing over it to see which is which. Its not like its game breaking as is but thats just something i saw elsewhere that i liked. Particularly as you level up and end up with multiple bars open and possibly multiple self made macros. Does that make more sence of what im trying to get at? |

Hit the "O" key. That is the default macro window key, I believe. From there, you would create a macro. Pick the icon you would like associated with it. Make the macro. Name the macro. When you mouse over the macro, the name and description will pop up. Aside from that, you can't create a button that would have the actual name in text, unless there's some UI mod that allows for that.
